Major Changes in the Black Ops 6 and Warzone Update
The final Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone update for buy COD BO6 CP February 2025 has just dropped, and it’s bringing some major changes! Treyarch and Raven Software have fine-tuned a lot of mechanics, addressing issues players have been complaining about for weeks.
First off, they’ve nerfed the XMC-9 SMG, which was way too dominant in multiplayer. It had almost no recoil and insane fire rate, so this was expected. Meanwhile, the Lynx 35 Sniper Rifle received a slight buff, increasing bullet velocity and one-shot potential at longer ranges.
On the Warzone side, the biggest change is a new Gulag rotation. The classic 1v1 Gulag has returned, replacing the multi-level Prison Break map that players found too camp-heavy. Also, armor plates now replenish slightly faster, making fights feel more fluid.
A huge fix was also pushed for server stability. Recent patches had introduced random frame drops and lag spikes, which made Ranked play nearly unplayable. Thankfully, those have been addressed, and reports suggest a much smoother experience.
What’s your take on these changes? Personally, I’m happy about the XMC-9 nerf, but I wish they’d have adjusted the COD BO6 Gift CP shotgun meta too. Thoughts?
